This place was perfect for my stay. Walkable distance to downtown & River. Kitchen was great & I have food intolerances so was so happy I could bring my own food & enjoy my stay without stressing about eating! Andrew was so good to let me check in early so I could change for a wedding & not have to travel 3 hr in a dress!!! Thanks!

Hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed! The home was absolutely amazing beautiful, extremely clean, comfortable, and even better than the pictures. You can tell a lot of care and attention went into making this place feel welcoming and special.

Andrew was a top-notch host. He was super generous and made sure everything was in good shape which it was. Super nice guy and the price is great. Brought a boat and I was able to charge my batteries each night. Will definitely book his place again next time I stay in the area.

This is our second time here and everything was great. We booked the morning of our stay and Andrew had the place clean and ready by 3pm. Easy parking and being on the 1st floor is a bonus. Walking distance to the river, lock and dam, and downtown area. We will definitely be back.

Great spot and Great host. Convenient to all that town has to offer such as eateries, convenience items , groceries, gas, the river and medical if needed. This location is close to everything and has great walkability if you so choose. Place was super clean and had everything you would need for a good stay.

This was a fantastic place to stay. Great location, walking distance from restaurants and bars. A couple of the bars sit right on the Mississippi if you enjoy water front dinning. Guttenburg is a cute little town. The apartment was very clean and charming.

This was our second stay and will not be our last! Andrew was so helpful, and the place is always perfect! The location can't be beat! We enjoy walks along the river which is nearby. Easy access to shops and restaurants. A wonderful place to stay when visiting NE Iowa!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The bed was super comfy, everything was neat and clean, and it was just what we needed. We appreciated the local recommendations, and the extra touch of being notified when someone booked the other half of the house so we wouldn’t be surprised was very thoughtful.

Andrew was always very quick to respond. the place was spotless and he had filtered water there. I ran out in the middle of my stay and he resupplied it

Prime location, easy access. Everything in walking distance. Fishing could've been better but the scenery is top notch. Riverside walk can't be beat. A small friendly town on the Mighty Sipp, everyone's friendly.

The location was amazing and perfect walking distance to restaurants and pubs along the Mississippi River......And Andrew was so accommodating......I needed a blender for my protein shakes in the morning and the next thing I know he went out and got one for the AirBnB....above and beyond....I'll be back for another event and will for sure stay there again! Andrew's place exceeded our expectations. Perfect for two people. There was always room to park. It was very easy to get in to. Also, he had the air on, and the ceiling fans were running. It was an extremely hot weekend so that was especially appreciated along with the ice in the freezer and cold water in the refrigerator. We felt he was only a text away but left us alone which was great. A very cute home.

A great place to stay in Guttenberg. It was very clean and comfortable. It's a very short walk to the riverfront. The kitchen was well stocked and it was nice to have a place to fix breakfast to start the day. The bed was very comfortable. The couches in the living room were nice. It's a quiet location. We highly recommend this place and hope to stay again some time when we're in the area.

Everything about the home was great! The location is convenient to everything. Everyone in town was very welcoming. The house had everything we needed and extras! We lived our stay and will visit again!

Loved our 5-day stay here with my two young children! Having an already-equipped kitchen space to prepare breakfasts and small lunches and snacks was perfect before heading out for the day. The bed was really comfortable and the living room spacious. Train tracks are close so there’s the occasional whistles that seem a bit loud, but we got used to it. Andy was helpful, accommodating and a wonderful host! The neighborhood was well lit and felt very safe. Would stay here again!

Fast fiber optic WiFi internet, excellent for remote work.
Guttenberg is a really nice small river town, with a scenic long riverfront to walk along.
Spacious interior, new easy-to-use windows & blinds, enjoyable décor, good work desk, functional bathroom, & quiet surroundings at night (small town traffic from main highway to riverfront downtown during the day).
Good a/c & heat, & a fully usable kitchen.
Occasional train horn, & siren test, but you'll enjoy the privacy, natural light, & effort put into renovating a this historic duplex into a great place to stay and/or work.
Easy walkable downtown a few blocks away with plenty of restaurants, bars, museums, & excellent brew pub a block away (but far enough to not be noisy).
When in-season, make sure to try out the Cassville Ferry on the Mississippi River, just to the south, between "driftless" WI & IA bluffs.

We chose Andy’s place as we were working our way up the Great River Rd in NE IA. Guttenburg was a delightful discovery, with a long park and walkway along the river, plus historic buildings and an obviously vibrant little town. This apartment is in an 1870’s home that Andy has restored. He has put in modern conveniences (central A/C, good WiFi, new bathroom, lots of electrical outlets) while preserving the feel of an historic home. He was super responsive and enthusiastic about making our stay an excellent one. The restoration is still a bit of a work in progress, but we were very comfortable.

Great place!

My husband, our baby, and I had such a wonderful stay here. It was clean, cozy, quiet, and located just a short walk from lots of restaurants and shops and the Mississippi River. It’s even right across the street from Guttenberg’s public library which we really enjoyed going to! Everyone was so kind and welcoming there. In addition, Andrew was an amazing host; very quick to respond and great at communicating. He was friendly and very accommodating too! I would highly recommend staying here and I hope we can come again!

It has been a pleasure staying at Andrews place. This location is a perfect place for a long-term stay for anyone working in the area! (Traveling nurse, Construction, etc.) It has all the amenities for an extended stay with the benefits of feeling at home. I can't express enough gratitude towards Andrew for working and communicating with me during my time in Guttenberg! He went beyond what a typical host would do in making things easy and manageable during my time here. I fully recommend staying here fora quick visit or anyone planning on being in the area for a long period of time.

This place was an amazing and comfortable spot. It is less than a block from the river front and parks. A brewery , restaurant , church, library, pizza, ice cream , sweet shop, and spa are on the same block. Many other amenities are within walking distance. The host went out of his way to make our stay comfy and super friendly. You need to cuddle up with a book and enjoy this cozy spot . Then go stroll, relax and have some fun in downtown Guttenberg. It has new flooring and new carpet. I just wish I could have stayed longer. It was really comfortable and Andrew was very accommodating.

Hayden's Hideaway is a nice quiet place to stay while enjoying Guttenberg and the surrounding area. It is clean, spacious, newly updated and has historic charm. We really appreciated that it was close to the downtown area, restaurants and shopping. We would highly recommend staying there. A bonus - The unit is level with the sidewalk making it ideal for someone who may have difficulty with stairs and steps. Andrew is also a fantastic host, answered all our questions and had many suggestions for us.

Andrew was the best host! Super responsive and made sure we were all set for our arrival. Even had water and ice and treats for us! We will be coming to stay again! So much to still see and do for us outdoor adventures. Guttenburg is a lovely little town. Thank you for the great stay!

We had a wonderful stay. We were in town for a baseball tournament in Dyersville, which was a quick, beautiful 30 min drive. We walked around the neighborhood in the evening and it was so peaceful and very quiet. One night the Brewery next door had live music that you could enjoy right from the house. Andrew was super nice and stayed in contact the whole time to make sure everything was ok. Highly reccomend staying here. Simple nice place. House had everything we needed.

Andrew’s house was just as expected. The perfect size for 2 and close to everything!

Great location downtown and easy to walk around and see the sights! Only thing to mention is that it did smell like weed/smoke that was pretty strong during our weekend stay. Overall great place!

Clean, Cozy and good local. I missed the fact that’s this is a duplex and not a whole house listing. Well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, treat bucket, meat from a local market. Clean towels, clean bedding and extra linens. Would recommend. As described.

We were very comfortable in this house and made it our own during the week. We enjoyed the snacks that were left for us including homemade zucchini bread. We enjoyed how handy it was to walk to so many places. Guttenberg is an interesting town. We've never run across a host, until Andrew, who offered that we could stay a free night, which was so generous of him.

Andrew's place was perfect: it is very homey, quiet, and 3 min walk from the Mississipi river walk! Everything was set up so I could feel at home. Whether you want this place to be your base to explore the area, or simply get away from the noise of the city, you will truly enjoy it!

The location is very walkable and private. The accommodations met our needs and it was clean and comfortable. It is close to the railroad tracks, but you really can’t escape the train noise in Guttenberg. Andrew is very responsive and kind.

We stayed in the Unit#2, very clean and comfortable. Andy was very responsive and gave lots of helpful local recommendations. The place is 5 min walk to the riverfront. 1 min walk to a local brewery, a library and a church. We like the city and place. July 4th celebration was awesome.

Hayden's Hideout is a nice small place in Guttenburg, IA. Andrew has it nice and clean and simply furnished. The living room is large, roomy, and very bright with multiple windows, which was very nice to spend the day playing games and talking on the couch.
Andrew was very quick in communication and answering any questions I had, which I appreciated.
